My Freshman Year
My freshman year was overall very fun and exciting, but hectic and fast. In the fall I had football practices every night and games every Saturday. I loved playing football with the guys and playing the game I love. Freshman Academy helped me out a lot with improving my skills in writing and reading, as well as, math and science too. My teachers were always nice to me and friendly too. The first day of school was a scary experience for me, because of all the people and the large building. I excelled in my classes in the first Semester with a 4.0 GPA and ranking 51st in my class. After football season, I tried wrestling on for size. I'll be honest, I was terrible, but I improved toward the end of the season, but I don't think that I will do that again. I love skiing, so I frequently went on mini ski trips when I could, in between school and wrestling tournaments. As spring came, I went on to track and started to fall a bit in my grades; I went from a 4.0 GPA to a 3.8 GPA when the third quarter was commenced. I got them back up though, through the support of my parents and the drive I have in me. They helped my dig down and bring the grades back up some more. The track season went well, but also fast, no pun intended. I ran well, not what I hoped for though, I wanted a metal, but came up short. Some meets I would get first in all my heats, but not overall. Now I have come a long way since the beginning of freshman year. I'm one year older, met some new friends and became a lot smarter. I hope to have a great summer and come back for Sophomore year ready to make more friends, learn even more and play that game that I love so much.
